Man arrested by Cartwright RCMP for impaired driving #nltraffic

RCMP arrested a 54-year-old man was arrested in Cartwright on May 11 for impaired driving following a tip from the public.

Police received information of a suspected impaired driver towing a boat within the community.

Officers located the vehicle and driver. Police spoke to the driver, who showed signs of alcohol impairment. He was arrested and was transported to the detachment where he provided breath samples that were nearly twice the legal limit.

The man’s driver’s licence was suspended. He is facing charges of impaired driving and is set to attend court at a later date.
