Man arrested and charged related to multiple break, enter and thefts in the Bay Roberts area

The RCMP in Bay Roberts has arrested a man in relation to multiple occurrences of break, enter and theft in the area since July 2025.

On October 30, police executed a search warrant at a residence in Bay Roberts connected to two incidents of break, enter and thefts at a cabin in Ocean Pond and an RV Park in Makinsons in July 2025, and a third at a local medical clinic in August 2025.

Stolen property related to these occurrences was located and seized during the search.

Police arrested 49-year-old Leonard Fitzpatrick without incident at a nearby business.

Fitzpatrick has been charged with two counts of break and enter to a business, three counts of possession of stolen property obtained by crime, and three counts of failure to comply with a release order.

The investigation is continuing, with additional charges possible.
