Man arrested after using stolen card for purchase in St. John's

On Thursday afternoon the RNC responded to a report of a theft of a wallet.

The victim contacted their financial institution and learned one of the cards contained in the wallet was being used in the downtown area of St. John’s.

Police arrived on the scene and located a male identified as the individual who used the card. The 42-year-old male was arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime, unauthorized use of a credit card, and breaches of court orders.

The male was held to appear in court.
