A man is facing several charges following a disturbance early Monday morning on Hamilton Avenue.

Around 1:05 a.m. on July 7, RNC officers responded to an unknown trouble call in the area. A caller reported that a man was outside smashing the windows of a vehicle and had thrown a microwave through one of the windows.

When police arrived, the man allegedly threatened officers, saying, “If you are here arresting me, you better call for backup because I’ll put up a fight,” and, “If you come near me, I will drop you.” The man eventually complied with police commands and was taken into custody.

He has been charged with uttering threats, breach of probation, and two counts of failing to comply with a release order. The accused was held for a court appearance.
