Man arrested after stealing with police nearby

Tuesday evening just before 10:00 pm the RNC watched a male enter a convenience store wearing a mask on Military Road in St. John's.

The man then immediately exited the store with a quantity of alcohol. The 41-year-old male noticed the officers and attempted to flee on foot.

He was taken into custody and faces charges of theft and failing to comply with a court-issued release order.
