Man arrested after stealing SUV

On Saturday evening the RNC responded to a report that a newer model SUV had been stolen in the downtown area of St. John’s.

Responding officers, along with a K9 Unit located the vehicle in the area. The SUV had sustained minor damage.

A 37-year-old male was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property, three counts of fraud, breach of curfew, resisting arrest and similar beaches under two other separate incidents.

The accused was held to appear in court.
