Man arrested after several thefts and break and enters in Pasadena & Steady Brook
The RCMP has charged 27- year-old Joshua Weir of Conception Bay South in connection with recent thefts and break and enters that occurred in Pasadena and Steady Brook.
On July 18 Weir is alleged to have stolen a backhoe from the Pasadena Industrial Park and used the machine to break into the Medicine Shoppe in Pasadena.
He is also charged in relation to a break and enter that occurred on July 24, at the North Atlantic Gas Station in Steady Brook. In this case, a stolen van was used to break into the business.
In both cases, properties were extensively damaged.
Prior to this arrest, Weir was arrested by Corner Brook RCMP earlier this week and was turned over to the RNC for crimes that occurred within their jurisdiction.
He appeared in court on Thursday to answer to charges of two counts of break, enter and theft, break and enter with intent, and three counts of mischief over $5000.00.
