Man arrested after serious assault in Corner Brook

The RNC was called to a report of an assault at a residence in the Humber Road area of Corner Brook on Monday evening.

After speaking with the victim, officers determined that a serious assault had occurred.

Police found a 54-year-old male resident of Corner Brook was responsible for the assault. The accused was located a short time later and was arrested.

The male was charged with assault, assault causing bodily harm and theft. He was held in custody and will make a court appearance today.
