Man arrested after police search two homes

Several RNC and RCMP units searched two homes on Tuesday and Wednesday in Southlands and St. Vincent’s. The two searches resulted in the seizure of multiple firearms, ammunition and magazines, and a prohibited weapon.

Police arrested 31-year-old Nathan Fleming on scene and he appeared in court yesterday.

He is charged with trafficking weapons, possession for the purpose of weapons trafficking, unlawful transfer of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon, with further charges pending.

The investigation is ongoing.
