Man arrested after forcing emergency landing in Happy Valley-Goose Bay

The RCMP were called to the Happy Valley-Goose Bay airport after a plane was forced to make an emergency landing on Thursday evening.

Reports indicate the man, 33-year-old Rasheed Adedokun of the United States, was causing a disturbance and assaulted a crew member.

The man was arrested and removed from the flight.

Adedokun was held to appear in court to answer to charges of assault, mischief over $5000.00 (interference of the flight causing the emergency landing), and charged under the Aeronautics Act for engaging in behaviours that endangered the safety or security of an aircraft and its passengers while in flight.
