Man arrested after driving while impaired by cannabis in Butlerville

On Tuesday night the RCMP observed a vehicle travelling 72km/h in a 40km/h zone in Butlerville and conducted a traffic stop.

The 24-year-old male driver showed signs of cannabis impairment and tested positive on a roadside screening. He was arrested for impaired driving and a blood sample was obtained at Carbonear General Hospital.

While police await the results of the blood analysis the investigation is continuing.
