Man arrested after attempting to disarm officer

A 41-year-old man is facing a list of charges after the RNC responded to a report of threatening behaviour Sunday afternoon in Goulds.

Police were informed that a male had threatened a family in the area and retreated into his residence.

As officers approached the male, he became combative, refused to comply with orders became assaultive and attempted to disarm one of the officers.

The accused was charged with mischief, two counts of breach of a probation order, resisting arrest, and attempting to disarm a police officer.
