Man arrested after assaulting officer during domestic disturbance

Early on Monday morning, the RNC responded to a domestic disturbance near Empire Avenue in St. John’s.

When police arrived they were met by an agitated male inside the residence.

The intoxicated 47-year-old male was charged with Common Assault, Assault on a Peace Officer and Uttering Threats.

He was held for Provincial court.
