Man arrested after assaulting a police officer

On Sunday evening RNC officers responded to a residence in Mount Pearl to conduct a wellness check.

A 26-year-old male was arrested and charged with Assaulting a Peace Officer as a result of the response.

The accused was held to appear in court.
