Man arrested after assault with a weapon in St. John's

On Tuesday afternoon the RNC responded to a complaint of an assault with a weapon in the downtown area of St. John’s.

Police quickly located the suspect nearby.

The 62 year old male has been charged with assault with a weapon, common assault, breach of a release order and breach of probation.

The accused was held to appear in court.
