Man arrested after assault at a business in Corner Brook

A 60-year-old male from Corner Brook was arrested on Monday after an assault at a business in the Humber Road area.

RNC officers and a K-9 Unit responded to a report of an assault in progress at 4:15 pm.

Responding officers arrested the man. He faces charges of assault, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, causing a disturbance and obstruction of justice.

At the time of the arrest, the individual showed a high level of intoxication.

The accused was held and later released on an undertaking to attend court at a later date.
