Man arrested after armed robbery at downtown business

A 24-year-old man was arrested Tuesday night following an armed robbery at a business in the downtown area.

Police responded to the incident around 8:30 p.m. on April 21. The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.

With assistance from a police K-9 unit, officers located the suspect a short time later.

He was taken into custody and held to appear in court the following morning.
