Man arrested after aggravated assault in Spaniard’s Bay

The RCMP is investigating an aggravated assault that occurred on Tuesday in Spaniard’s Bay.

A 34-year-old man from Bay Roberts, Devon Fitzpatrick, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

Police were informed that there was a male with serious injuries at a residence in Spaniard’s Bay. Upon arrival, it was determined that a serious assault had occurred and a weapon was used. The male was transported to hospital for his injuries.

The accused was arrested, appeared in court and was charged with aggravated assault. He attended court and was remanded into custody to appear again on November 2.
