Man arrest for drug trafficking in Deer Lake

JFO West has made an arrest on the west coast related to drug trafficking.

Police have arrested 56-year-old Paul Nichols of Deer Lake.

The arrest was made on Thursday at a local bar. Nichols was found in possession of individually packaged bags of cocaine, believed to be prepared for the purpose of trafficking.

The accused was released from custody and is set to appear in court at a later date to answer to the charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The investigation is continuing.
