Male driver facing impaired driving charge following early morning traffic stop in St John's

Shortly after 3:00 a.m. In the early morning hours on Sunday, Patrol Officers with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) conducted a traffic stop in the downtown area of St. John’s.
Upon further investigation, Police determined that the 41 year old male driver was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. As a
result of thier investigation, the male now faces charges of Impaired Operation and Over 80 mg%.
He was released to appear in court at a later time while the vehicle was impounded.
