Male arrested for theft following downtown disturbance, Thursday afternoon

At 1:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, Officers with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) responded to a disturbance in the east end of Downtown St. John’s.


When officers arrived, they spoke to the persons involved and determined that during an argument a male removed

a cell phone from another male that was recording a video.


The male then would not return the cell phone and as a result of thier investigation. A 52 year old male is charged with theft and he will be held for court.
