Male arrested following assault at the Avalon Mall Parking Lot

On September 26, 2024

Shortly before 8:00 p.m. Officers with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) responded

to a disturbance in the parking lot of the Avalon Mall. While police were enroute, witnesses reported that a male had assaulted a female and both parties had left in a vehicle.

Police located the vehicle in question several streets away and completed a traffic stop.

A 44 year old male driver was arrested for assault and conveyed to the St. John’s lockup.
