Major power outage in St. John's

Power has since been restored.
EARLIER STORY
Newfoundland Power is reporting thousands of customers are without power in parts of the St. John's Metro area.
The outage is due to equipment problems and went out around 12:30 pm.
Newfoundland Power says there is a problem at the Kenmount Road substation.
