Major Crimes Unit lays charges related to fatal house fire in Nain

Police have charged 33-year-old Joey Millie with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of arson with disregard for human life in relation to a November 2025 fire at a residence in Nain.
The fire occurred at approximately 9:00 p.m. on November 27, 2025, at a residence on Middle Path Road.
Two individuals were discovered deceased inside the home.
On Saturday, the accused was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of arson with disregard for human life.
Millie appeared in provincial court yesterday and was remanded into custody. He is expected to appear in court next on March 11.
The investigation into the fire remains active and ongoing at this time.
