Lump-Sum Payment Coming for Power Customers #nlpoli

Premier Ball and Minister Coady provided details today regarding initiatives to support electricity customers through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Customers will receive a lump sum payment.

The payment is because the cost of oil has fallen and as a result, NL Hydro spent less money purchasing oil.

The amount will vary based on customer's usage habits.

An additional $2.5 million will be allocated for overdue accounts.

Customers needing help with payments may call Newfoundland Power or NL Hydro to discuss flexible payments.
