Long-Term Care Homes Closed to All Visitors

Effective today (Monday, March 23), long-term care homes province-wide are closed to all visitors.

The directive goes into effect at the end of regular visiting hours today and will be reviewed on a regular basis.

The government has said that the action is being taken to protect elderly residents and those with weakened immune systems or underlying medical conditions who are at a higher risk of developing complications from COVID-19.
