Lela Evans joins NDP

MHA Lela Evans has joined the NDP party.

Evans, the MHA for Torngat Mountains, was elected as a Progressive Conservative but has been sitting as an independent MHA.

She was elected in the 2019 provincial election and again in 2021.

Of the 40 seats in the House of Assembly, the Liberal party has 22, the Progressive Conservative party has 12, there are three NDP members, and three independent members.
