Tony Wakeham is the leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Newfoundland and Labrador and serves as MHA for the district of Stephenville-Port au Port. He has been the leader since 2023.

He was first elected in 2019 and was re-elected in 2021.

Back in 2018, Wakeham ran for the leadership of the Progressive Conservative Party of Newfoundland and Labrador, but was defeated by Ches Crosbie.

The 67-year-old was the CEO of Labrador-Grenfell Health Authority. He has also owned KFC restaurants.

Wakeham is married to his wife, Patricia. They have two adult children and three grandchildren.

We will be profiling the leaders of all of the provincial parties over the next few days.
