Layoff notices have been issued to staff at The Telegram and the printing press.

Unifor calls the loss extremely disheartening.

There are 37 Unifor members working as reporters, videographers, printing press operators, and in advertising at The Telegram. The majority of which are employed in printing press operations.

Back in March SaltWire Network filed for creditor protection. A private equity fund has alleged the company owes it roughly $33 million out of its $94 million total debt load.
