Just before midnight last night, RNC officers were called to the downtown core of St. John’s in response to a reported disturbance. When police arrived around 11:50 p.m., they found several bystanders had already restrained a 58-year-old man at the scene.

Following a brief investigation, the individual was taken into custody. He now faces multiple charges, including assault, causing a disturbance, mischief, and violations of both a release order and probation conditions.

The man was held in custody overnight and is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court this morning.
