Large flights unable to land at YYT due to staffing issues

As of 8:00 pm this evening St. John’s International Airport will not have adequate Fire Hall staffing levels to continue normal commercial operations.

As a result, operations will be limited to Cargo, MedEvac and aircraft with 19 seats or less until staffing needs can be met.

The airport is working with the union and Transport Canada to resolve this issue.
