It's a Holiday in Corner Brook

Today is a holiday in Corner Brook for what would have been Carnival Day.

The Winter Carnival is cancelled for this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

This would have been the 50th Corner Brook Winter Carnival.

Organizers hope that it will go ahead next year.

Residents were asked to decorate their homes with lights, build snow sculptures on their property, or set up displays in their yard and enter a contest to keep the carnival spirit alive.

There will be five winners who will receive $100.00 each.
