Investigation underway into chemical exposure at the Bay de Verde seafood plant

The RCMP is investigating a chemical exposure at the Bay de Verde seafood plant.

just after 9:00 a.m. on Thursday morning, the RCMP were alerted to a chemical exposure at the Quinlan Brothers Seafood Plant in Bay de Verde.

All occupants of the plant were evacuated and some individuals received medical treatment and were released.

Officials from the Department of Digital Government and Service NL’s Occupational Health and Safety Division are leading the investigation.
