Investigation launched after moose shot in Provincial Park

The Resource Enforcement Division are investigating after a moose was shot in the provincial reserve area of Jonathan’s Pond Park, approximately 10 kilometres north of Gander.
Officers discovered the remains of a female moose on the side of Route 330, within provincial park reserve boundaries. The incident is believed to have occurred between 6:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 11.
It is illegal to kill a moose within a provincial park.
