Innu Nation elects Grand Chief, Deputy Grand Chief and Board of Directors

The Innu Nation has elected a new Grand Chief, Deputy Grand Chief and Board of Directors.

Simon Pokue of Natuashish has been elected as the Grand Chief taking over from outgoing Grand Chief Etienne Rich.

The Deputy Grand Chief is Christopher Rich of Sheshatshiu. Mary Ann Nui was the Deputy Grand Chief.

The new Board of Directors is Shirley Penashue, Agathe Pone, Seraphine Rich, Pien Selma, Gervais Penashue, Clarence Snow from Sheshatshiu and Katie Pasteen, Virginia Collins, Nora Pasteen, Clarence Nui, Leon Tshakapesh, Peter Pasteen of Natuashish.
