Increase in weekly fuel prices

The PUB has a new way to reflect new fuel prices.


For the Island portion of the Province, the maximum price adjustments this week reflect both changes in market commodity prices and the implementation of changes on the Island portion of the Province resulting from the Petroleum Products Pricing Review.


Gas has increased 1.9 cents per litre and diesel motor fuel increased by up to 1.8 cents. Furnace oil heating fuel increased by 1.54 cents per litre and propane heating fuel will change in the range of minus 1.2 cents to plus 3.3 cents.


In Labrador, the maximum price adjustments this week reflect changes in commodity market prices only. Gas in fuel in western Labrador increased by 0.7 cents and diesel motor fuel in western Labrador increased by 0.6 cents.


Stove oil heating fuel in western Labrador increased by 0.62 cents and propane heating fuel in all Labrador zones will decrease by 1.8 cents.
