Impaired driver arrested after leaving drive-thru in Bay Roberts

On Tuesday evening the RCMP located a suspected impaired driver exiting a local drive-thru in Bay Roberts.

Police conducted a traffic stop and noticed that the 38-year-old male driver showed signs of alcohol impairment and was arrested as a result.

The man provided breath samples that were twice the legal limit.

He was released from custody and will appear in court at a later date to answer to charges of impaired driving. The driver’s licence was suspended and the vehicle was seized and impounded.
