Howell Announces Recipients of Provincial Scholarships
Minister of Education Krista Lynn Howell announced more than $275,000 in scholarships for recent high school graduates as part of the Provincial Scholarship Program.
A total of 276 high school graduates are recipients of various scholarships, each awarded based on academic performance.
The scholarships include one Junior Jubilee Scholarship, one Constable W.C. Moss Scholarship, 120 Electoral District Scholarships, 79 Centenary of Responsible Government Scholarships, and 75 Confederation 75th Anniversary Scholarships.
All scholarships are valued at $1,000 each, except the Junior Jubilee Scholarship which is valued at $2,500.
The Junior Jubilee Scholarship is awarded to the student with the highest scholarship score in the province. This year’s recipient is Mitchell Griffin, a graduate of Corner Brook Regional High.
