House of Assembly launches Commissions of Inquiry and Royal Commissions database

The House of Assembly has launched a Commissions of Inquiry and Royal Commissions Database.

The online research tool is a project of the Legislative Library and includes listings from its collection as well as from the collections of several other knowledge institutions, including the Newfoundland & Labrador Public Libraries, Memorial University, the Rooms Provincial Archives and others.

It includes records related to Commissions of Inquiry and Royal Commissions conducted for or on Newfoundland and Labrador, mandated under the authority of public inquiry statutes since 1833.

The database is accessible on the House of Assembly website.
