House fire in Fleur de Lys claims life of senior man

An 82-year-old man is dead after a house fire in Fleur de Lys on Monday.

The fire occurred shortly after 10:30 a.m. Firefighters with Fleur de Lys and Baie Verte Fire Department battled the fire and heavy smoke which had fully engulfed the home on Main Street.

Provincial Fire Services and the Office of the Medical Examiner have been engaged.

The investigation into the cause of the fire is continuing.
