Hit-and-Run incident leaves cyclist injured late Monday night

A late night Hit-and-Run sent one cyclist to hospital with unknown injuries.

At around 10:50 PM on Monday, emergency services responded to the area of Hamilton Avenue and Shaw Street, when emergency services arrived a cyclist which had been struck by a vehicle was found on scene, the cyclist was transported to hospital with unknown injuries.

The vehicle then fled the scene prior to emergency services arrival. It is unclear what way the vehicle was travelling when he struck the cyclist.

Members with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Traffic Services team and a Collision analyst also attended the scene to investigate the collision.
