Hit and run in Carbonear leaves woman injured, driver flees

The RCMP is asking for the public's help after a hit and run at Subway in Carbonear.

On Saturday afternoon police responded to a report that a grey Toyota pickup truck entered the parking lot and struck a 27-year-old female walking across the lot.

The driver, an unknown male, exited his vehicle and saw that the person he struck was injured.

He then returned to his pickup and left the scene.

The person injured was transported to the hospital via ambulance.
