Two homes were damaged following an overnight house fire in the West End of St. John’s.
Firefighters with the St. John’s Regional Fire Department received the call at around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday reporting a residential structure was on fire on Alderberry Lane in the city’s West End.
When firefighters arrived on the scene, heavy smoke and fire could be seen coming from the residence. Firefighters used a ladder truck to knock down the flames coming from the roof.
Multiple residents were displaced from their homes. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
Alderberry Lane was closed in both directions as firefighters worked to contain the blaze. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
