On Tuesday a new mural was unveiled on Harvey Road in St. John's.

The mural was created by Molly Margaret and Lily Taylor and celebrates the meaning of home to the people of the province.

The project was cost shared at a cost of $44,000 with the city of St. John's contributing $19,500 and the provincial government providing $24,500. The Rooms provided studio and storage space for the artist team.

Artists Molly Margaret and Lily Taylor have taken a digital approach to the creation of the mural, with their design adhered to thin aluminum panels along a section of Harvey Road.

“Our mural celebrates the ever-expanding urban settings of our province and highlights our unique floral and fauna in a fun and engaging way, said Molly Margaret. “We are pleased to see our creation installed and hope that it brings joy to those who see it.”
