Happy Valley-Goose Bay Man Arrested following vehicle rollover #nltraffic

A 21-year-old Happy Valley-Goose Bay man is without his driver’s licence and vehicle after being arrested for impaired driving on Saturday, March 13.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., officers were responding to a complaint of a possible impaired driver who had hit a vehicle. While en route, a second call was received of a single vehicle roll over on White Crescent in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.

Police attended immediately and arrested the 21-year-old driver, who was the lone occupant, for impaired driving. He sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.

He was provided a blood demand and was transported to hospital, where a sample of his blood was collected for analysis. He was issued a seven-day driving suspension, the vehicle was seized and officers await the results of the blood sample to determine if charges of impaired driving are appropriate.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any further information on this incident is encouraged to contact Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP at 709-896-3383 or Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (TIPS is 8477).
