Gunshot damage reported to fibre optic cable lines near Holyrood and Bay Bulls
The RCMP in Ferryland and Holyrood are investigating recent reports from telecommunication service providers of damages caused to fibre optic cable lines.
Last Wednesday, police received two complaints from different service providers of damage to their lines located in the area of Middle Pond near Bay Bulls.
Police say that the damage was caused by gunshots.
On February 22, similar damage was reported at two separate locations in the area of Hawk Hill near Holyrood. Fibre optic lines that were above ground were damaged by gunshots.
