Grand Falls-Windsor to celebrate Labour Day with parade and community events

Grand Falls-Windsor will mark Labour Day on Monday, September 7, with a full day of community activities, including a bike parade, community parade, live music and family entertainment.

The day's events begin at 9 a.m. on Main Street with bike parade judging and the formation of floats for the parade.

The main parade gets underway at 10 a.m. on Main Street and is scheduled to conclude at 11 a.m. on High Street.

Following the parade, organizers will hold speeches, announce the bike parade winners and host prize giveaways. Hot dogs and hamburgers will also be available.

Afternoon activities will move to Church Road Park from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Music will be provided by Crossroads and Station Road, with bouncy castles, a barbecue and refreshments also planned. The afternoon activities are sponsored by Grand Toyota.

The town's Labour Day celebrations are set to provide residents with activities throughout the day while recognizing the contributions of workers and the local community.
