Grand Falls-Windsor Fire Department knocks down blaze overnight

The Grand Falls-Windsor Fire Department responded to a fire in a large shed exposing residence on Memorial Avenue last night.

Crews battled biting cold temperatures of minus 19 with a wind chill of minus 26 Fire Chief Vince MacKenzie said but managed to knock the fire down quickly.

There were no injuries.
