Government Receives Nearly 7K Reports on COVID-19 Reporting Form

Since March 17, 2020, the provincial government has received a total of 6,790 complaints through the COVID-19 public reporting form.

That number is up to, and including, December 28, 2020.

The form is both for individuals and businesses.

Of the 6,790 complaints submitted, 1,682 have pertained to businesses.

The Department of Health and Community Servies says that a breakdown of complaints by region is not available.

In a statement to Newfound News, a spokesperson said, "occupational health and safety officers with Digital Government and Service NL are remaining focused on COVID-19 related issues, especially with regards to ensuring that employers have the proper policies, procedures, and plans in place at their workplaces."
