Government Reaches Agreement with Canadian Merchant Service Guild

The provincial government has reached a collective agreement with the Canadian Merchant Service Guild. Ratification of the agreement concluded on Wednesday, October 14.

The new agreement includes a wage increase of five percent, as well as the elimination of severance and changes to post-employment benefits, which is similar to what other bargaining groups received over the same period of time.

The agreement covers the period of 2012 to 2020 with wage increases retroactivity effective July 1, 2019.
